Bio: Shula has spent nine seasons with the Rams and is in his second year as defensive coordinator, guiding a unit that delivered one of the NFL’s strongest performances in 2025. The Rams defense finished 10th in scoring defense (20.4 points per game) and helped power a 12–5 season and playoff berth. Shula’s defense also continued its rise from 2024, when it ranked tied for fifth in red zone efficiency (50%) and produced a top‑tier pass rush with 225 hurries (6th) and 218 pressures (13th). In 2024, the Rams had two Associated Press Defensive Rookie of the Year finalists in OLB Jared Verse, who ultimately won the honor, and DE Braden Fiske.
